Abner Allard was born in 18 February 1797.  He may have been the son of Isaac Allard (1775-)and Achsah Mainard (1777-1823)

Some information from the Lathrop Family Memoir by Julia M. Huntington 1884

Abner Allard married Lucille "Lucy" Lathrop on 13 February 1823. 

They had five children:

Dr. Abner Allard of Ervings Grant, Mass. married Lucy Lathrop on February 13, 1823 in Wilmington, Vermont.

Abner Allard was a physician in the town of Wilmington from 1831 until his death in 1837.  He was also the town clerk from 1833 to 1835.

1.    Minerva L. Allard

Minerva L. Allard born March 6, 1826 (or 120 February 1826) in Wilmington, Vermont.  First married Willis Merrill (1826-1876) of Waterbury, Ct.  In 1850, Willis and Minerva Merrill were boarding with the Godfrey family in Waterbury, CT.  Willis was a keeper of a livery stable.  Willis died after 1850.  Minerva married a second time.  She died 7 August 1868 in Waterbury, Ct.  She did not have children.

2.     Albert A. Allard  

Albert A. Allard born May 10, 1828 in Wilmington, Vermont.  On 1 April 1860, married Anne Elizabeth Wilson (1837-) in Baltimore.  Spent 4 years in the United States service.

3.    Caroline Janette Allard

Caroline Janette Allard born March 20, 1830 in Wilmington, Vermont.  On 3 May 1847 She married Zachariah Wheeler in Wilmington, Vt.  Caroline and Zachary had four children, Mary (1846-), Morrilela (1849-), x, y.  Three of whom were living in Whitingham, Vt. in 1884.  Zachariah (1829-ca.1885) was killed by a falling tree in Whitingham, Vt.  Caroline married for a second time on 2 January 1886 to Jarvis F. Hudson.

4.    Edwin Ross Allard

Edwin Ross Alllard born August 7, 1833 in Wilmington, Vermont.  In 1850 he was living with the Wilder family in Wilmington, Vermont.  On 27 January 1852, he married Gracia M. Boyd (1833-1862) of Wilmington, Vt.  He was in the Union Army until his death in the Battle of the Wilderness in 1864.  They had four children, Lucy M. (1853-), Charles E. (1855-), Nelly (1858-), Ida (1860-).

5.    Adalaide Augusta Allard

Adalaide Augusta Allard born July 31, 1835 in Wilmington, Vermont.  Died young.

 

Dr. Abner Allard died November 15, 1837.  Lucy Lothrop Allard remarried to George Wilder and had two children, Oscar and Lucy (died young).  Lucy died July 29, 1846.
