Mr. Meekins presented the following petitions

The petition of Geo. L. Stevens, John H. Bramble, John N. Moore, Arthur Saxton and other citizens of East New Market and vicinity, praying the passage of a law to prohibit the sale of all kinds of intoxicating drinks as a beverage in or within four miles of said town.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.
