Dec 3. - Charles Stevens, aged about 45 years, committed suicide last night at his home at East New Market. Stevens took a rifle, placed the end of it in his mouth and pulled the trigger, death resulting instantly. Stevens left a widow and one son. The cause of his act is unknown.
