Struck by an automobile Sunday night, which was going at a terrific speed, Charles Stack, of Hurlock, had his carriage cut from under him on the Federalsburg-Hurlock State road.  Stack was thrown out, landing in a deep ditch, and narrowly escaping serious injury.  He received several bad bruises and was considerably shaken up.  The wheels were cut from under the carriage and the vehicle badly wrecked.  The occupants of the machine did not stop to see whether Stack was killed or not, or how badly his team was damaged.  Stack claims that the automobile belongs to a physician of East New Market, and was driven by the doctor himself when the accident happened.  Stack said Monday he would claim damages to the full extent of the accident.
