November 19, 1925 - East New Market vs. Hurlock

The final game of the soccer and field ball championship of Dorchester was played off at Federalsburg (neutral ground) on Friday, November 13th.  They were both splendid games.  The field ball teams were fairly well matched, neither side scoring until the third quarter.
The final score was 2-1 in East New Market's favor.  The soccer game was no less interesting in the first half, but the Hurlock boys fell down in good sportsmanship toward the latter part of the fourth quarter by kicking the ball out at every chance to kill time – not breaking any actual rules of the game, but breaking the rules of good sportsmen.  The final score was 1-0 in Hurlock's favor.
