13 September 1962 - Mrs. Clarence Saxton -
Mrs. Maria J. Saxton, died yesterday in West Palm Beach, Fla., following a prolonged illness. She was the daughter of the late Dr. George P. and Maria Austin Jones of East New Market. She was a communicant of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star here. Mrs. Saxton had been living in Florida about 10 years. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Georgia J. Johnson of West Palm Beach, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 am in the East New Market Cemetery, with the Rev. Allen Whatley, pastor of Christ Episcopal Church, Cambridge, officiating. Friends may call at the Willoughby Funeral Home here, Sunday after 7 p.m.
