Directly behind the Belle Kimmey is 19 Academy Street. This residence is the former garage of the Belle Kimmey property. Behind the former garage structure is 21 Academy Street. This is another residence that was built around the turn on the century on the same property.

An L-shaped 2 1/2 story weather board frame house which is three bays wide and four bays deep. The building has as asphalt shingle gable roof with boxed cornice with returns. An inside brick chimney is located on the left hand side of the building. The entrance is located in the third bay. The main entrance has a recessed paneled doorway with three light transom and three side lights. A one bay wide pedimented entrance porch is located over the main entrance. The rear two story ell of the building was constructed later than the main block. 2/2 windows are located in the front block of the building and 6/6 windows are located on the rear. A plain frieze is located below the cornice and cornerboards are located in each corner of the building.
The beautiful old Belle Kimmey House should have been saved. However, a recent owner tore down the grand old home and built a substandard vinyl house in its place. This shouldn't be allowed to happen.
