In 1866 Dr. John E. Hooper was taxed for an office at this location. Dr. George P. Jones continued to be taxed for an office through 1910. However, by 1922 the office was no longer at this location. If the footprint on the 1877 map is accurate, the office would have been about half the size of the Old Trading Post. The office may have been the shop referred to in the 1853 equity court case that mentions the Tanyard.
