Petition of Kitturah Turpin et al. — October 5, 1819

To the Honorable William Kilty, Chancellor of Maryland: Humbly complaining sheweth unto your honor your orator and oratrix Kitturah Turpin, widow of Solomon Turpin deceased; Baynard Turpin, Francis White Turpin, and Margaret Ann Turpin, minors and children of said Solomon, who pray to be made parties to this bill by Francis Turpin their next friend.

That on 3 July 1791, a certain Isaac Nichols the elder, late of Caroline County in said state, being seized in fee of sundry tracts of land in said county, by last will devised said land to wife and children. Heirs agree by writing, 13 June 1794, to agree to will.

Bill shows that a judgment against Jeremiah Nichols, one of the sons and devisees, etc., and in obedience to said writ the said sheriff did sell to Solomon Turpin. John and Jeremiah conveyed their part, etc. Shows that the land sold to Solomon Turpin, deceased, is yet in possession of Jeremiah Nichols, etc.
